Keysight E8404A VXI Mainframe

The E8404A VXI Mainframe manufactured by Keysight has 13 slots, 1000 W of operating power, heightened monitoring capabilities, and dynamic and peak current capabilities sufficient for numerous applications. The heightened monitoring feature on this model consists of strong cooling regulation with information about temperatures for the power supply voltages and currents, system status, fans operation, mainframe, and more. Heightened monitoring also includes a maintenance timer which can be queried, set, and rest by the user for help with planned repair actions. These details can be shown on the color display or through an RS-232 or VXIbus link. Along with the aforementioned features, stripcharts and histograms, perceptible warnings for over-limit settings, multiple language support, and VXIplug&play drivers are also included on the E8404A.

On the backplane of the Keysight E8404A, complete differential circulation of the CLK10 signal is given, which reduces the jitter and skew and delivers a clean timing foundation for VXI modules. The surface mount backplane boosts the dependability and function of the stripline signal. Keysight also has SYSRESET and ACFAIL features located on the backplane of the VXI Mainframe, which is a feature not typically added by other manufacturers.

The diagnostic connector, which can be found on the front of the E8404A VXI Mainframe, offers a link for remote monitoring of features such as, the power supply and reference temperatures, fans operation, and power supply voltages. Also, the Keysight E8404A VXI Mainframe can be reset effortlessly from the front panel. Resetting is possible even when Slot 0 cannot be accessed due to cabling.
