Keysight E8403A VXI Mainframe

The E8403A is an affordable VXI Mainframe with 13 slots, 1000 W of usable power, and basic monitoring capabilities. 1000 watts of usable power is adequate for many tough automated test applications. The VXI Mainframe can be utilized on the bench or in a rack mount for additional versatility. Therefore, this VXI is the answer to numerous types of mainframe requirements. This model has high-tech cooling capabilities, with fans that can run in an adjustable speed mode or at full speed. The fans emit minimal noise and heightened static pressure. Another valuable feature of the E8403A is the ease of access to the back panel for simple maintenance when needed.

The Keysight E8403A VXI Mainframe has the capability to confirm that the following features are functioning properly: temperatures, the fan operation, and backplane voltage settings. The E8403A VXI Mainframe also has various accessories and options, which are available at an additional cost. These include: an optional air filter kit for severe conditions, a rack slide kit, standard rack mount adapter kit, cable tray kit, backplane connector shields, a flush rack mount kit, and many others.

Additionally, the Keysight E8403A does not contain power line fuses which can be substituted, so if the mainframe’s power supply is not functioning, then the power supply must be substituted for a new one. Furthermore, other repairs are restricted to the substitution of the power supply fan, monitor printed circuit assemblies, and the impeller/backplane fan. None of the parts on the interior of the mainframe can be restored.
