Keysight HP Agilent E1564A VXI Digitizer

The Keysight E1564A VXI Digitizer is a C-size, 1-slot, register-based VXI module, which is well-suited for electronic production test and electromechanical design characterization measurements. This model is especially useful when extreme amounts of electrical noise are involved. The Keysight E1564A VXI Digitizer is constructed for PC SIMM memory and can hold anywhere from 4 Mbytes to 64 Mbytes. A few useful facts to know about the E1564A VXI Digitizer are: the model has four channels, a bandwidth of 1 MHz, a resolution of 14 bits, a sample rate of 1 Sa/s to 800 kSa/s, and a dual-ported memory. The standard operating temperature range is from 0 to 55 degrees C.

The E1564A has a programming model which is comprised of: a data FIFO or flat file memory model for the A/D converter, a current value table to recover the current sample of data, and 16-bit integer data adjusted for gain and offset faults. The Keysight E1564A also has a calibration source with flash ROM; the flash ROM can store calibration constants.

Each channel on the E1564A VXI Digitizer can sample at the same time with one external or internal time base. Triggering can be set up for two types of modes: event or time modes. There are also programmable reading counts for both pre-trigger and post-trigger. Every channel also has its own analog electronics. These include independent channel isolation and 800 kSa/s 14-bit A/D converters. The channels on the Keysight E1564A have four selectable input filters.

Keysight HP Agilent E1564A VXI Digitizer- FAQ:

Question:

How do I avoid bus errors while reading data from my E1564A FIFO over MXI-2?

Answer:

Matrox video cards are most likely the issue. If you force viMove to use programmed I/O transfers instead of utilizing the DMA controller, it should fix the problem.

Question:

Does the E1564A have dual-rate sampling?

Answer:

No, it does not.

Question:

What is the memory capacity for the Keysight E1564A?

Answer:

With the PC SIMM, the capacity ranges from 4 Mbytes to 64 Mbytes.

Question:

Does the Keysight E1564A have selectable input filters for each channel?

Answer:

Yes, the options are 1.5 kHz, 6 kHz, 25 kHz, and 100 kHz.

Question:

Does the E1564A have different trigger modes? If so, what are they?

Answer:

Yes, there are two trigger modes: time and event.
