Keysight E1364A Form C Switch

The E1364A is a 16-channel, Form C Switch. The manufacturer of the E1364A is Keysight Technologies. It is a register-based, B-size VXI module with a single slot. This general-purpose Switch is used for control, scanning, switching, and digital output applications. The E1364A features latching armature relays at all channels. Each relay has common, NO and, NC contacts. The channels of the E1364A can be individually connected with internal power supplies. Terminals for resistors/jumpers are available for this purpose. The E1364A is compatible with B-size VXIbus and VME bus mainframes. The E1364A can also be interfaced with a C-size VXIbus mainframe. The E1403C module is required for connecting the module with the C-size mainframe.

The E1364A Form C Switch supports both AC and DC inputs. The input voltage range is up to 250 VDC/V_rms. For AC signals, the peak voltage can be up to 354 V_p. Each channel of the E1364A can sustain a current up to 1 A. The maximum power required is 320 W/VA. Each switch of the module consumes up to 40W/VA power. For AC signals, typical bandwidth is 10 MHz. The E1364A needs 10.7 ms to open or close a channel. This time is taken by register programming. When the module is powered up, the relays are in the open state by default. The relay’s status remains unchanged when the power of the module is turned off. The E1364A incorporates a P1 connector for different functions.

The E1364A Switch features two internal power supplies. The rating of these supplies is +5 V and +12V. The E1364A supports SCPI programming. Multiple E1364A modules can be programmed using SCPI programming to design a switchbox instrument. A single address can access all switch channels within an instrument.
