Agilent N5161A MXG ATE RF Signal Generator

The N5161A MXG ATE RF signal generator provides a similar industry-leading execution, reliability, and form factor (2RU) as the popular N5181A MXG, all at a diminished cost. This signal generator has been streamlined for automated test equipment (ATE) needs with expulsion of the front-board display and all connectors relocated to the back board for convenient and secure rack setups. Mixing the extraordinary MXG execution with a base price reduction over the N5181A MXG signal generator makes the N5161A MXG ATE analog signal generator perfectly suited for today’s demanding production environment.

This model offers +23 dBm @ 1 GHz output power with an electronic attenuator over the entire range, ≤1.2 ms switching speed in SCPI mode, ≤900 μs simultaneous frequency and amplitude in list mode, AM, FM, øM, and pulse, a ≤ -121 dBc/Hz (typ) phase noise at 1 GHz and 20 kHz offset, digital step and list sweep with simultaneous switching of frequency, power, and waveform. This model also has 100BaseT LAN, USB 2.0 ports, a GPIB interface, and SCPI and IVI-COM drivers.

The N5161A Signal Generator can maximize uptime, thanks to its improved self-maintenance that diminishes the time needed for repair and execution validation. This keeps downtime under 2 hours, utilizing field-replaceable assemblies.
