Agilent N5181A MXG RF Analog Signal Generator
Featured with fast amplitude and frequency switching, the Agilent N5181A is a 100 kHz to 6 GHz analog signal generator. This model offers ≤5 ms switching speed while operating in either SCPI or List/Sweep Mode. Its integrated, electronic type step attenuator provides 0 to 130 dB in steps of 5 dB. This model comes with the most comprehensive range of modulation options and can be utilized for AM, Phase, FM, Pulse, and Narrow Pulse Modulation. The Agilent N5181A is a general-purpose analog signal generator that is ideal for installation and maintenance, LO substitution, depot, and ATE testing, component manufacturing tests, etc.
The Agilent N5181A comes with a Host USB, “type A” connector provided on its front panel. This connector can be used for easy data transfer by employing a memory stick. The user can connect or disconnect a USB device without restarting or shutting down the signal generator. On the back panel, a standard (100Base- T) LAN port is provided which enables a PC program.
For remote controlling over the universal serial bus, a Mini-B USB connector is available, which can be used to control the signal generator through a PC remotely. In addition, there is a GPIB connector provided which enables its communication with compatible external controllers. This powerful interface profile makes the use of the Agilent N5181A possible in several different configurations. This model has a comprehensive LCD designed to keep the user ready with all the crucial information simultaneously. This information can include amplitude and frequency settings, error messages, status indicators, etc.
