Keysight N2863B Passive Probe

Featured with 1.2 m cable length, DC to 300 MHz bandwidth, and 1.16 ns risetime, the N2863B is a Passive Probe from Keysight Technologies. This model offers an attenuation ratio of 10:1 and can operate with an input resistance of 10 MΩ. The Keysight N2863B can handle a maximum of 300 V RMS and has an input capacitance of ≈12 pF. This model is a low-cost Passive Probe that can be adjusted for low and high-frequency compensation. This model came as a replacement of its predecessor N2863A. Therefore, the model has 100% function, fit, and form equivalent to the previous model.

The significant difference between this probe and the previous model is its frequency tuned mode of operation, which offers an enhanced linear frequency response when used with compatible oscilloscopes from Keysight. The N2863B is fully compatible with oscilloscopes from Infiniium and InfiniiVision, which come with a 1 MΩ BNC input. To provide the best measurement results, this probe allows the user to compensate their probe for matching its characteristics to the model of the oscilloscope they are utilizing. A low-frequency compensation is recommended before a high-performance frequency compensation can be performed.

The Keysight N2863B can be purchased with numerous accessories, including: a retractable hook, an insulating cap, two IC insulating caps, a ground spring, a BNC adaptor, a 12 cm ground lead, a probe tip, and identification tags. One last important characteristic of the Keysight N2863B Probe is the scope compensation range, which is 5-30 pF.
