HP Agilent 85037A Precision Detector

Featured with a frequency range of 10 MHz to 18 GHz, the 85037A is a Precision Detector from HP Agilent. This detector is specifically designed to be used with the 8757D SNA (scalar network analyzer). This dual diode Precision Detector can be utilized in either AC or DC detection mode. To store factors (around 150) for internal frequency correction, it has an integrated EEPROM as well. This information can automatically be accessed and read by the 8757D to operate with a better measurement accuracy vs. frequency. To obtain maximum accuracy across absolute power measurements, the HP Agilent 85037A can be operated in conjunction with the internal power calibrator of the 8757D.

This model offers +20 to -55 dBm and +20 to -50 dBm dynamic ranges in AC and DC mode respectively. The frequency response stays around ±0.35 dB for 0.01 to 0.04 GHz and ±0.18 dB for 0.04 to 18 GHz. The HP Agilent 85037A comes equipped with a 7 mm Type-N male connector and a 1.22 m cable. This instrument weighs around 1 kg. The male center conductor recession of the 85037A`s RF connector remains between 0.207 to 0.210 in. The RF input connector accepts RF input signals, while the DC connector supplies the required DC voltage for operation of the detector and feeds the detector output to the network analyzer. With this model, the user will not need a torque wrench for the tightening of the connector. The user can simply use their hands to tighten the connector to keep it in the correct position.
