Keysight M8197A Multi-Channel Synchronization Module
The Keysight M8197A Multi-Channel Synchronization Module is the perfect mix of value and quality. This module can address wideband wireless, EW and more comms/satcom applications where the wide bandwidth (DC to 25 GHz) and quick recurrence hopping are critical parameters. With built-in recurrence and phase calibration, this model produces wideband multi-tone signals with a flat recurrence reaction up to 25 GHz. With this Keysight model, the user could produce any discretionary waveform that they can mathematically analyze (e. g. in MATLAB) and download it to the M8197A. This incorporates ultra-short yet exact pulses down to ~100 ps pulse width or extremely short, yet wideband RF pulses and chirps. In conjunction with the M8197A synchronization module, the signal could be triggered from external sources with low jitter.
A bidirectional parallel input and output port is provided on the front board of the M8197A synchronization module. When the port is configured as an input, it could be utilized as a ‘dynamic control input’ for all channels of a synchronous framework to control the sequencing by external hardware. The dynamic control input influences all channels of a synchronous framework. When the port is configured as a parallel output, the 14 digital lines can be individually controlled by software to represent logical states zero or one. This model offers many useful applications, such as phase coherent multi-channel IF/RF generation, phase coherent multi-channel I/Q signal generation, Physics, and MIMO.
