Keysight M8195A Arbitrary Waveform Generator
The Keysight M8195A Arbitrary Waveform Generator supports leading edge research for 100 Gb/s, 400 Gb/s, and 1 Tb/s of optical transmission frameworks that require a wideband electrical stimulus, with a variety of complex modulation formats from QPSK to nQAM to OFDM, at symbol rates up to 32 GBaud and superior. In order to drive dual-polarization systems, the M8195A has 4 independent, yet unequivocally synchronized simple output channels in a single module. Since all 4 channels are created by the same instrument without any outside circuitry, exact synchronization down to the second range can be obtained and maintained.
The Keysight M8195A may be ideally suited to address those multi-level/multi-channel interfaces, utilizing any standard or custom data format, such as PAM-n (n = 3,4,5) or DMT. The M8195A arbitrary waveform generator backs pattern lengths up to PRBS 231-1* and baud rates up to 32 GBaud, including the vital parameter changes, including variable transition times, various pulse-shaping filters, and distortions. This model can also produce PAM-n signals for non-equidistant voltage levels. This model has adaptability for waveform generation at highest speeds, mixed with phenomenal intrinsic jitter execution.
Wideband remote signals with any modulation plan (e. G. NPSK, nQAM, APSK, OFDM) can be produced specifically at carrier frequencies of up to 25 GHz. In a significant number of cases, this saves an additional up-conversion phase (for IEEE 802. 11ad) or allows waveform generation directly at the carrier frequency.
