The E4408B spectrum analyzer resides in the class low budget equipment. Yet it offers outstanding range of measurement options. It offers basic spectrum analysis with precision and speed. This is totally synthesized spectrum analyzer and is portable. This spectrum analyzer offers to measure frequency range of 9 kHz to 26.5 GHz. The E4408B designed especially in perspective of future needs of users. It is fitted with six slot option card cage. It allows user to customize and update their product whenever compulsory. The users can do so for various testing needs. This turns E4408B spectrum analyzer in to an application focused product. These applications may include cdmaOne or GSM measurements. The measurement capability is further enhanced by ever increasing number of plug-in boards. These boards incorporates different measuring options. The added options implemented for different applications. Users can themselves install easily these optional boards.

The E4408B also includes very useful optional feature of GPIB with parallel interface. It allows user to control analyzer from a computer. This is another value added feature to this product line. It uses a general purpose interface bus to achieve this functionality. It includes a GPIB connector, a parallel interface connector and a CD-ROM. User can also copy the display of an analyzer on to a printer using this option.

The E4408B provides transmitter and receiver measurements with option BAH. These measurements follow various international standards of digital communication. The BAH option includes user’s guide and quick reference card for GSM measurements. Transmitter power and phase error are some of GSM measurement covered in BAH option.
