Keysight E4435B Digital RF Signal Generator

Featured with enhanced phase noise performance, the Keysight E4435B is a 250 kHz to 2 GHz range Digital RF Signal Generator with up to 35 MHz RF modulation bandwidth. This model offers 14-bit I/Q resolution and 40 MHz sample rate. There is 4 MB of dedicated memory available for waveform playback and 1 Msample memory for waveform storage to provide the user with a seamless operating experience. The E4435B Signal Generator comes from the ESG-DP Series, which is knowns for excellent digital capabilities and spectral purity. With this model, the user can achieve higher power by using an optional mechanical attenuator for overcoming insertion losses from switch matrices and cabling or for working with components that require higher drive levels.

The Keysight E4435B comes featured with wideband FM capabilities, offering 10 MHz rates and up to 40 MHz FM deviations. Thus, it is an ideal solution to simulate a VCO for those who are in the process of designing a receiver. In addition, the wideband ΦM capabilities (up to 360 radians deviations and MHz rates) make the E4435B an excellent choice to be used across satellite communication applications. When using power search, this model offers an amplitude switching speed of < 30 ms.

The E4435B Digital RF Signal Generator can provide N x 1 MHz maximum deviation, while operating in frequency modulation mode at a resolution of 1 Hz or 0.1% of deviation (whichever is greater). The internal modulation source of this instrument can provide the ramp, pulse, noise, sine, square, and triangle waveforms and an LF output at < 1 Ω output impedance.
