Keysight E4434B Digital RF Signal Generator

The Keysight E4434B is a 250 kHz – 1 GHz Digital RF Signal Generator from the ESG-DP series. This model incorporates a wide range of capabilities for testing and validating both analog and digital communication systems. The E4434B allows the user to add flexible options for nearly all proposed and current air interface standards. The expandable architecture of this instrument enables customization for several test functions to meet the requirements of nonstandard and almost all proprietary interface standards. In other words, the user can have their instrument configured to address a broad variety of tests - from altering practically every aspect of a signal operating environment to creating signal prototypes.

As far as its frequency and phase modulation capabilities are concerned, the Keysight E4434B Signal Generator offers N x 1 MHz and N x 1 radian maximum deviation respectively. While operating in pulse modulation mode, this instrument offers >80 dB On/Off ratio (at ≤3 GHz) and >60 dB On/Off ratio (at >3 GHz). This instrument offers dc/10 Hz to 10 kHz amplitude modulation rates (at 3 dB bandwidth) at an accuracy of < ± (6% of setting + 1%) and 0.1% resolution.

The operating temperature range for this Signal Generator is 0 to 55° C.  As a whole, the Keysight E4434B comes as an excellent portable unit, with dimensions of 133 mm H x 426 mm W x 432 mm D. In addition, the Keysight E4434B is a lightweight, rack-mountable piece of equipment, which only weighs around 13 kilograms.
