Agilent E4433B Digital RF Signal Generator
Designed to operate within a frequency range of 250 kHz to 4 GHz, the Agilent E4433B is a Digital RF Signal Generator. This model comes featured with a maximum 35 MHz RF modulation bandwidth and 14-bit I/Q resolution. For waveform playback, the Agilent E4433B offers 1 Msample memory. With this model, the user can achieve pulse, phase, AM, FM modulation, and step/list sweep as well for frequency and power. Not only this, but the E4433B also supports custom digital modulation with > 15 variations of MSK, PSK, FSK, and QAM.
This Signal Generator can be operated in three different modes: arbitrary list, frequency step, and amplitude step. This model offers from 2 to 401 points and 1 ms to 60 s dwell time. As far as its switching capabilities are concerned, the Agilent E4433B requires < 50 ms and < 90 ms while operating in analog and digital mode respectively with modulation on. The amplitude switching speed remains < 30 ms without power search and < 300 ms (typical) with power search enabled.
The phase offset of this instrument is adjustable via the front panel or GPIB in 0.1° nominal increments. Since it is a standard RF Signal Generator, the E4433B incorporates a broad range of capabilities required for testing both analog and digital communication systems. However, adding more flexible options can turn this instrument into a complete test solution that will analyze the performance of any communication system while supporting almost all applicable air interface standards.
