Keysight E4430A Digital RF Signal Generator

Featured with a wide range of digital modulation capabilities, the E4430A is a 50 kHz to 1000 MHz Digital Signal Generator from the Keysight ESG Series. This model comes equipped with built-in personalities for almost all of the common communication standards to generate GSMK and pi/4 DQPSK signals internally. Thus, the Keysight E4430A fully meets the test requirements of PHS, PDC, NADC, and GSM receivers. With this model, the user can generate base or mobile-station transmissions for various standards with internal burst capabilities. In addition, the E4430A eliminates the requirement for external equipment since it has comprehensive data generation capabilities.

Now, the user can utilize “Q” and “I” inputs to generate some of the most complex modulation formats (such as BPSK, 16QAM, and QSPK) required for the testing and validation of digital communication infrastructures. This signal generator has an integrated quadrature modulator which processes the Q, and I input signals to offer better modulation accuracy over a 10 MHz bandwidth. The wideband phase modulation capacity is useful for satellite communication applications offering up to 90 radians deviations and 6 MHz rates.

This model has a +13 to -136 dBm wide power range which can be combined with better level accuracies to ensure precise and reliable measurements of even the most sensitive signals. The Keysight E4430A can be operated in either step or arbitrary list mode. This instrument comes with a sturdy front panel featured with a knob, an LCD, cursor keys, hard and soft function keys, and a numeric keypad.
