Agilent E4423B Signal Generator

The Agilent E4423B is part of an optional inherent adaptable baseband Signal Generator series that gives complete control over a transmitted signal. The user can supply information, I/Q adjustment waveforms, or no input, and create digitally modulated RF signals, I/Q baseband outputs, or data streams. The user can also take advantage of a subjective computerized transmitter for data sources and outputs at any of the significant interfaces to test anything from parts to full receivers.

With the Agilent E4423B Signal Generator, it is possible to utilize remotely produced real-time data or inside created and downloaded bit successions to drive the optional real-time I/Q baseband generator. A restrictive application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) performs image building and FIR filtering. The subsequent I/Q waveforms can drive the inside I/Q modulator or an outer I/Q modulator by utilizing the baseband outputs. The ASIC gives the client complete adaptability in modulation by giving access to custom I/Q and FSK mappings. Standard modulation formats, such as QPSK, MSK, and 256 QAM, are given. Additionally, custom filtering and variable symbol rates up to 12.5 MHz give complete control of advanced modulation.

For extra adaptability, clients can supply I/Q signals in either real-time or by downloading information to the optional interior self-assertive waveform generator. By producing or mimicking I/Q waveforms remotely, the user can grow the abilities of the ESG to incorporate multi-channel and multi-transporter signals, like orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM).
