Keysight E4420A Analog RF Signal Generator

The Keysight E4420A is a 250 kHz to 2000 MHz Analog RF Signal Generator, known for its excellent in-channel performance. This model is designed with a flexible architecture. Thus, it can be tailored by the user to meet the future demands of evolving markets. The Keysight E4420A features reverse power protection up to 250 kHz to 2000 MHz, 50 Watts, and 50 V max DC Voltage.

This model is an efficient performer because it offers <25 ms typical switching speed and <210 ms typical with power search mode. It can be operated with <1.4:1 SWR (typical). The Keysight E4420A has four band frequency ranges and 2 to 401 Internal Reference Oscillator points. This analog signal generator can be operated in either triggered or continuous sweep mode, within a frequency range of 0.1 Hz to 50 kHz. The sweep time and resolution provided are 1 ms to 65 seconds and 1 ms respectively.

With this model, the user can operate with all modulation types simultaneously, since it features simultaneous modulation. However, there are a couple of exceptions (AM with Burst envelope and FM with PM). Otherwise, the FM, AM, and PM can sum inputs from any two sources simultaneously. As far as this model’s physical characteristics are concerned, it weighs around 12.7 kg and its dimensions are 5.25 in H x 16.8 in W x 17 in D. In its standard configuration, the Keysight E4420A consumes 200 W maximum while operating. This model can be powered up from 90 to 254 V mains at 50, 60 or even 400 Hz frequency.
