HP/Agilent 6271B DC Power Supply

The HP/Agilent 6271B is a low voltage rack DC Power Supply. The 6271B utilizes a transistor series-regulator/triac-preregulator circuit to attain increased effectiveness, low ripple and noise, as well as great regulation. This DC Power Supply can be operated from the bench or in a relay rack operation. This model has a DC output value of 0 to 60 volts @ 0 to 3 amps, a 3-wire, 5-foot ac power cord for ac power links, 0 to 70 V and 0 to 4 A meters, dimensions of 3.5 x 17.5 x 19 inches, and weighs 34 pounds.

Functions of the HP/Agilent 6271B Power Supply such as remote programming, remote sensing, and dc output links, can all be completed at back panel terminals. The output terminals on the front panel are only to be used for monitoring; they are rated at 3 amps at the most. For auto-series operation with the 6271B DC Power Supply, two or three power supplies can be linked in series, with their outputs controlled by the current and voltage controls of the master power supply at the same time.

There are various options available for the HP/Agilent 6271B, which can be purchased at an additional cost. One of these is Option 5, which is realignment for 50 Hz operation. This alters a few of the resistors in the preregulator control circuit. Options 7 and 8 replace the coarse control for voltage or current with a ten-turn output voltage or current control. Another option is Option 9 which will add Options 7 and 8 to a single power supply.
