HP/Agilent 6265B DC Power Supply

The HP/Agilent 6265B DC Power Supply has the following optional operating modes: auto-tracking, auto-series, auto-parallel, remote programming, and remote voltage sensing operation. For remote programming, the output voltage or current can be remotely operated by linking an external resistor or applying an external voltage to back panel terminals. If resistance programming is utilized, a variable resistor can control the output over its complete range. Alternately, if the power supply is linked in series with an immovable resistor, then the control can be limited to a certain part of the output range. The HP/Agilent 6265B DC Power Supply has a DC output of 0 to 40 volts @ 0 to 3 amps, a 3-wire, 5-foot cord for input power links, dimensions of 3.5 x 17.5 x 19 inches, and weighs 34 pounds.

On the HP/Agilent 6265B, the current and voltage outputs can be operated via a voltage input. When the user voltage programs the output voltage, they can decide to utilize a link that creates a unity gain relationship between input and output or another link that generates modifiable voltage gains. An important fact for the user to remember is that linking a power supply for remote current or voltage programming will incapacitate the matching front panel controls. Another thing to keep in mind is to use wires of equivalent length and gauge to link every auto-paralleled power supply to the load. Load sharing preciseness is affected unless the positive leads linking every supply to the load have equivalent resistance.
