The 6255A is a dual output dc power supply. It has separate outputs and meters. It provides exceptional and easy to implement capabilities to users. It provides remote analog programming and sensing options. It also offers auto-series and auto-parallel modes of operation. It further enhances the capabilities of the product in terms of features it provides. The 6255A power supply can offer 40 volts and 1.5 amperes for both in house power units. It has the maximum power rating of 120 watts. The users can add many useful options to the power supply. The flexible design of 6255A allows adding 50-Hz AC inputs and programming resistance.

The 6255A comes with crowbars for each supply. They provide internal voltage protection and ensures the long life of the product. The users can have additional 10-turn pot voltage control. It is a single control point that replaces coarse and fine voltage controls. It helps to get improved and stable output. It also offers three digits graduated voltage and current controls. It has very small transient recovery time. The 6255A has a built-in constant current circuit. It protects the power supply against all overloads. It includes direct short placed across terminal in constant voltage operation. In constant current operation, the voltage circuit limits the output voltage. Each power supply in 6255A has the separate meter at front panel. It can be used as either 0 to 50 V or 0 to 5 V voltmeter or as a 0 to the 1-ampere ammeter.

The 6255A is also provided with six output terminals on the front panel. Three terminals are dedicated for each section of the power supply. The output terminal strips are located on the rear of the chassis.
