Keysight 8782B Vector Signal Generator
Featured with 1 to 250 MHz frequency range, the Keysight 8782B is a Vector Signal Generator. This model is suitable for IF testing, QPSK, BPSK, 49PRS, 256QAM, and digital modulation. The Keysight 8782B offers arbitrary vector modulation with up to 100 MHz bandwidth and is capable of simulation impairments including phase lock error and quadrature error. For demodulating signals, this model offers an unmodulated coherent carrier as well. This vector signal generator comes equipped with an integrated PRSB generator.
The 8782B is an ideal tool for testing RF receivers and digital microwave. The synthesized signal generation component on this model supports a broad range of digital and analog modulations. The Q (Quadrature-phase) and analog (In-phase) inputs enable the model for arbitrary magnitude and phase modulation. The PRBS generator incorporated in this model offers BPSK to 256QAM digital modulation without any external data sources. The 50 MHz Q and I inputs can be used for direct driving a vector modulator to control the phase and magnitude of the generator`s output. This arrangement allows users to generate arbitrary phase and magnitude modulation with up to 100 MHz bandwidths.
The Keysight 8782B ensures 50 ohms nominal output impedance, < 1.3:1 (typical) output SWR, and ±1.5 dB accuracy (for level >= 30 dBm). This model offers 0 to 50 MHz burst rates. In typical operation conditions, the 8782B offers < 170 ms frequency switching time at 1 Hz resolution; scalar and burst modulation can be used with all digital modulations. To achieve an up-conversion of 750 MHz to 1250 MHz RF bands, a 1 GHz LO output is also available for this model.
