Keysight 83650A Synthesized Sweeper
Featured with a massive 10 MHz to 50 GHz frequency range, +2.5 dBm maximum power (>40 GHz), and 68 dBc phase noise (50 GHz at 10 KHz), the 83650A is a powerful, Synthesized Sweeper from Keysight. This model comes equipped with a GPIB interface and can easily be coupled with other GPIB enabled instruments on the interface bus.
The Keysight 83650A incorporates an ALC system, which controls the power level or amplitude of the RF energy produced by the synthesizer. The integrated ALC system on the 83650A is a feedback control system that measures the output power and compares it to the desired power, then adjusts the output until it matches the setpoint perfectly. With this model, the user can set the desired power level by either remote operation or the front panel.
The Keysight 83650A features a brilliantly designed front panel with strategically placed hard keys. For entering values, the user is provided with a standard numeric keypad, cursor keys, and a rotating knob as well. In addition, the front panel of this instrument comes with a large bright display where all the essential parameters, soft keys, alarms, and messages are displayed in their respective areas.
For external levelling, the 83650A comes with an input port called EXT ALC. This port allows the instrument to be leveled externally by means of a negative crystal detector leveling method or power meter leveling method. The SWEEP OUTPUT connector of the Keysight 83650A offers a voltage range of 0 to +10 V.
