Keysight 83640B Synthesized Swept-Signal Generator

Featured with the pulse, frequency and amplitude modulation capabilities the 83640B is a 0.01 - 40 GHz, Synthesized Swept-Signal Generator from Keysight. This model is designed to provide 10 dBm calibrated output power and 1 Hz frequency resolution. Users looking for more power can have their 83640B with an optional step attenuator to achieve around -110 dBm output power. The Keysight 83640B offers a comprehensive range of sweep control functions, such as marker (M1-M2), center/span and start/stop. This model also supports various triggering modes including auto, external, GPIB, and single mode.

This instrument comes with user flatness correction provision with a GPIB bus, a GPIB power meter, and manual entry modes.  The Keysight 83640B can easily be configured for external leveling, since it can handle 200 μV to –0.5 volts external leveling inputs. Besides this, it offers 0 or 100 kHz bandwidth in external detector mode (modulation mode and sweep speed dependent) and 0.7 Hz nominal bandwidth in power meter mode.  This Synthesized Swept-Signal Generator features a broad range of input and outputs. For power meter leveling or negative external detector, there is an External ALC input provided. A front panel BNC female type connector with 50 ohms nominal input impedance is also offered on the front panel for FM inputs.

The Keysight 83640B weighs around 27 kg. and consumes 400 VA maximum power.
