The 83592C RF plug-in is a power swept frequency source from Keysight Technologies with many applications and control options. This model is a low-cost instrument with enhanced capabilities. The Keysight 83592C comes with a frequency range encompassing from 10 MHz to 20 GHz and a display resolution of 0.1 dB. The sweep time is 30 ms for the full band. The model has a switch to select the sensitivity range. There is also a self-test capability, which helps guarantee normal operation of the instrument.

The Keysight 83592C covers the frequency range in five bands. It has + 10 dBm of RF power level from 0.01 to 2.4 GHz. It has + 6 dBm RF power level for the 2.4 to 18.6 GHz range. The 83592C covers + 4 dBm RF power level from 18.6 to 20.0 GHz. It has four functional sections. It offers digital control and a front panel section. The digital control section is the main point of communication. This section has the capability of controlling all functions of the plug-in with decoded commands. The digital control section has a read-only memory (ROM) block with the capability of saving plug-in programs and software.
