Keysight 6634B DC Power Supply

The Keysight 6634B has a GPIB address of the DC Power Supply and the model number, along with other constants that are required to program and align the supply and are saved in an EEPROM on the A2 interface board. The interface board additionally contains references and other parts that will influence the alignment of the supply. If the interface board is replaced, the supply must be restarted and adjusted.

The 6634B Power Supply's front board assembly contains a circuit board, a keypad, a liquid crystal display (LCD), and a rotary control (RPG) for the output voltage and current. With the special case of the RPG (A3G1), the A3 front board table is an assembly-level replaceable piece. A separate front board binding post board is incorporated on the unit. It is accessible as an assembly-level replaceable component. The A3 front board holds chip circuits, which decode and execute all keypad and RPG commands that are transferred to the control supply output, through the serial I/O port to the essential interface circuits on the A2 interface board. The front board chip circuits process power supply estimations and status data received on the serial I/O port. This information may be shown on the LCD. In this model, the auxiliary interface circuits include a programmed logic array, boot-ROM, 8 and 12 bit DAC circuits, and 8 and 16-bit ADC circuits.
