Keysight 54542A Digitizing Oscilloscope

Featured with 32 K acquisition memory/channel, 4 Channels, 1 nanosecond Peak Detect, 500 MHz Bandwidth (analog), and an integrated, multi-format 3.5" disk drive, the Keysight 54542A is a digitizing oscilloscope. This model has a monochrome display that can be divided into 2, 3, or 4 segments. All four channels are designed for simultaneous acquisition at 2 GSa/s sample rate. Thus, the user can acquire on multiple channels simultaneously without encountering any depletion in the sampling rate. An IEEE 488.2 compliant GPIB communication interface port and a serial port are also provided as standard features in this model. These communication channels enable the user for computer based, direct programming of the instrument.

 The HP 54542A can easily be programmed for 23 fully automatic measurements over GPIB or on the front panel. This digitizing oscilloscope can store four waveforms in its four nonvolatile memories. Moreover, another 500-point records can be stored into 665 failure memories. As far as its marker characteristics are concerned, the 54542A Oscilloscope comes with dual time and voltage markers. Users can assign voltage markers independently to memories, functions, or channels.

This model features a sequential single-shot function that can be used in a variety of viewing options, such as average, envelope, and normal. In envelope mode, min and max voltages of the segments captured previously are displayed. The Keysight 54542A features a built-in digital, oversampling filter as well. This filter reconstructs the data automatically when < 500 points are acquired. The serial port included in this digitizing oscilloscope is a RS-232 bidirectional type port.
